Sandra Val, 1979

Lives and works in Madrid

She graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (2011-2015) and holds a Master's degree in Research in Art and Creation (2015-2017). Her participation in the 2021 Korean International Ceramics Biennial stands out, where she received an Honorable Mention. In 2022, she entered the first edition of the Co-net Art CeramicRes contemporary ceramic creation residency program at L'Alcora and was selected for the Manises International Ceramics Biennial. In 2023, she was invited to participate in La Iberoamericana, Women and Visual Arts of the 21st Century and received the award for her project "Habitar el Camino" at the second edition of Cultura Online by the Consorci de Museus de Valencia. In 2024, he will open his solo exhibition 'Utopia Planitia 49.7N 118.0E' at the Ginsberg+Tzu gallery in Lima, Peru, and present public works in Madrid's Plaza de Colón, organized by ADNFórum.

His work has been exhibited at the Barjola Museum in Gijón, the CAV La Neomudéjar Museum in Madrid, the Gyeonggi Museum of Contemporary Ceramic Art in Korea, and in various institutions and galleries in Spain, Portugal, Costa Rica, Venezuela, the United States, Austria, and Switzerland.
